Coaching

Coaching is a form of consulting where the coach helps the client, or coachee, with the tools, knowledge and opportunities they need to develop themselves and become more effective. It is unlocking a person's potential to maximise their own performance while helping them to learn rather that teaching them.

Communication

The art of learning to connect and to understand more than being understood.

Organisational Behaviour Management and Development

Our organisational behaviour management solutions provide an organisation with powerful means of changing the culture of the organisation and the functioning of teams by means of establishing elements around which the system will self-correct and change over time.

We have observed that many organisations lose time, money and energy in trying to establish and entrench a new culture by means of "pushing the oil tanker" a new direction. Our methodology creates a "pull" factor with the new guiding principles and standards contained in pockets of excellence that already contain elements of the new and desired state.

From our experience and exposure we have developed the ability to move "beyond the model and into the muddle" as a catalyst for change. We believe that the heart of the individual lies at the heart of change processes.

The success or failure of change initiatives have less to do with the brilliance of the plan or model and more to do with people in leadership and management being able to walk their talk when the chips are down and the organic nature of change begins to take over. We have developed the ability to design organic interventions that capture the heart of the desire "organising principle" around which the team or system will eventually self-correct.

Exposure

Some of the opportunities to present organizational interventions in the South African industry include:

Pumalo Africa has enjoyed the opportunity to play a advisory and supporting role to the first Demonstration Site in the MOSH Fall of Ground (FOG) adoption of leading practice initiative. As an advisor to the project committee at the demonstration site, Robin Pullen has contributed to the development of the Behaviour Communication plan.

Pumalo Africa employed experiential learning methodology in the development of a team of trainers who will facilitate the transfer and adoption of leading behaviour practice into the life of the organisation. As author and designer of the Behaviour Practice Observation (BPO) instrument, Robin has facilitated the application and implementation of the behvaiour observation stage of the project.
