Why look at having just another year end team build or ‘networking’ session?
In just four steps we can partner with your office to use the workshop to set your people up for a year of success in 2010.
We have learned that the hardest part of any change solution is the people side of any process. The challenge is to find a way to develop a culture where our people learn to do the right things for the right reasons at the right times... even when we are not there to make them do it! Now imagine the impact of an enabled environment where all our people are doing this, together.

Just FOUR Steps
Step one
Mapping the current performance scenario
60 days before the intervention day we will conduct a work-based behaviour observation of the division. This dip-stick assessment (or culture survey) will provide an indication of the behaviour and dialogue that depicts the current company culture. The goal of the dip-stick assessment is to develop a clear description of the prevailing behaviour practices.
Step two
Identifying a leading process | where best to make a change
30 days before the intervention day we will provide a feedback and review workshop. This session will provide feedback to the office management team and help identify a hypothesis about prevailing behavioural practice. The outcome is then measured against the business unit strategic objectives. Employing a systems approach we will then identify possible gaps in the alignment between the behaviour that is practiced in the office and the intended business unit strategy.
Some of these gaps could be noticeable in the symptoms of poor cross-cultural work relationships, a lack of a common work place dialogue or a poor ability to align daily activities to strategic objectives.
Step three
Identifying a leading practice | how best to make the change
15 days before the intervention day we will facilitate a workshop to identify recommended leading behaviour practices. This set of behaviours, aligned to the business unit strategy and the operational goals gleaned from the strategic objectives, will describe a step change opportunity towards establishing peak performing behaviour practices.
Step four
Business unit strategic workshop | get it all going
Pumalo Africa will partner with your office management team to facilitate a business unit workshop. This event will be themed to match the leading practice and organisational objectives outlined along the success journey.
The day may include a number of experiential learning activities that focus on the leading behaviour practices. Delegates will be allocated into groups for each activity which will be facilitated by a professional experiential learning facilitator. As each group works their way through the stages of the program they will build up a body of knowledge of the components designed to support the desired leading behaviour practices.
The program might be concluded by a motivational presentation and a mini-ceremony. Here the delegates who best display the desired behaviour can be recognised with a small token reward.
